Tagged: The New Pop Culture Novel After Mandingo

The Mandingo Novel came first, then the multitude of copycat novels by authors who wanted to cash in on the multimillion selling phenomenon created by the original author of massive 1957 novel MANDINGO Kyle Onstott. The two legitimate sequels to MANDINGO (1957) were DRUM (1962), and MASTER OF FALCONHURST (1964). Today, a novel by new author River Blantyre brings the essence of Mandingo into the new millennium with a sexually-charged pop culture novel aptly titled Tagged.

Female sexual predator, Isabella Perez, is the owner of a successful nightclub and the toast of London’s cuckold and swingers’ scene. Her partner, Mozambique-born Ricardo Mendez, helps her run a global sex tourism business supplying the Mandingo fantasy to older white women who crave for young, virile black men from Africa and the Caribbean. They use social networking site Tagged to corner their prey, and a web of aliases to cover their tracks. Business is booming, and they’re well and truly on a roll…well, that’s until the Inland Revenue wants her for tax evasion; some international laws she’s contravened catch up on her; and when there’s over ten million dollars worth of immoral earnings tagged to her name. The snitch—one of her trusted rentboys who’d been quietly muscling in on her turf—has mysteriously fallen off the radar… he’s on the run, and she’s hired a madly assassin to eliminate the threat. What started out as a fun way to fulfill her own sexual fantasies is fast becoming a dangerous trail of greed, cover-ups, extortion, bribery, and where murder is, quite literally, on the cards.

Tagged, the new sexually-charged pop culture novel by River Blantyre, will soon be published by Lulu.
